Over the last year the Lundhs group has gone through a corporate restructuring program, which culminated end of August with the merger of the parent company Lundhs AS and the sales company Lundhs Sales AS.
One company - threefold benefits
The justification for the restructuring of the Lundhs group is threefold.
* Firstly we wanted a structure which is clear and simple to communicate with all our customers around the world. With the recent merger customers now need to relate to one company only: Lundhs AS, one brand: Lundhs and a product range named accordingly: Lundhs Emerald, Lundhs Blue, etc. The sales service staff will ensure that the same good service is provided.
* Secondly a restructuring was necessary to reap the benefit of Lundhs size and improve efficiency in an increasingly competitive market. Lundhs operates a large number of quarries in Norway and with a simpler corporate structure the efficiencies in these will be improved.
* Finally, Lundhs has acquired 4 new quarrying companies during the last 10 month and it has been necessary to bring these companies, their customers, their staff and quarries properly into the Lundhs fold.
Lundhs is now by far the biggest, best reputed and most solid Norwegian quarry operator. The product range has been extended with two products. In spite of the recent downturn in the market sales exceeds EUR 35 mill, total assets exceeds EUR 70 mill with an equity exceeding EUR 55 mill.
