Our aim is to offer the most exclusive and innovative interior for the yachting industry. We engage the passion of traditional craftsmen with the technology of marble construction with solid but light composite.

Based in the heart of the artistic marble culture, we are glad to present our speciality - “Marble Art for Luxury Yachts”.

We were born from the idea of offering marble products developed for the unique need of the yacht industry. Our founders, after years of experience gained in the yacht industry and marble business, developed the new idea of producing and propose lightweight marble.

The aim was to find a new concept of a product in accordance with the needs of the companies of interior yacht refinement and artistic marble production.

This conceptual connection gave the birth to our panel that is light and does not break. From that stage, we started to develop many differentiated products, still from the same production process, introducing the utilisation of water-jet machine, we realised inlaid lightweight panel.

Within the introduction of water-jet trough Cad-Cam machinery we start to offer “cut on size” services. At the end of our experimentation we are really in the condition to offer a complete range of lightweight products.

Stonelite Group has summed 50 years of direct experience and we have taken the use of ancient marble and stone forward, and on into the 21st century. Stonelite will guarantee to select the most precious materials, incorporating top execution skills along with flexibility and knowledge to work alongside architects and yacht designers to achieve high standards and quality results.

ABOUT US

BULNED was created in 1998. The main subject of activity is extraction, processing and commerce of VRATZA LIMESTONE, SHELLSTONE AND MARBLE.

The block’s extraction started in 1998. The factory began its production in 2002. BULNED offers shaped blocks, slabs with various surface finishing, different cut-to-size elements and standard calibrated thin tiles. The VRATZA LIMESTONE products have been very well accepted on the European markets for more than hundred years.

QUARRIES

Bulned Ltd operate in two quarries where excavate Vratza limestone and Vratza shelstone.

In quarry Mizia we extract VRATZA LIMESTONE. The quarry is situated near the village of Varbeshnitsa, at 16 km north-east from Vratza town, with well-developed infrastructure (electricity, road and water supply). The monthly capacity of the quarry is over 700 m3. The material has broad application for indoor and exterior use. It's strength and frost resistance are especially highly appreciated for facade cladding even in countries with freezeing climate conditions.

BULNED's second quarry, situated near the village of Manastirishte, at 50 km north-west from Vratza town, for extraction of VRATZA SHELLSTONE. The material has very beautiful and tender cream color. The structure and the advantages of this stone are well known and used since more than hundred years in European contries.

The monthly capacity of the quarry is over 200 m3. Since 2005 the company is developing it's third quarry for VRATZA MARBE, beige coloured material, exceptional for internal cladding and flooring. The quarry is situated near the village of Gorna Beshovitza, 50 km north-east from Vratza town.

FACTORY

BULNED factory's hall area is over of 11 000 m2, situated near "N. Vaptsarov" Blvd in the Industrial area of Vratza town.

The equipment comprises: brand new machines for processing of natural material: gang-saw machines; bridge saw cutting machines for trimmed slabs and different cut-to-size elements, polishing line for slabs, block cutting disc machines, trimming macnine, cross cutting machines, calibrating and bush-hammering line for slabs, line for calibrated thin tiles in standard sizes 12” x 12”, 16” x 16”, 18” x 18” and 24” x 24” machines for split face and rustic face finishings and the first for the branch in Bulgaria waste water treatment plant.

The factory capacity for polished slabs is over 15,000 m2 polished slabs per month.

The monthly capacity for calibrated thin tiles is over 17,000 ?2.

The Covelano quarry is the highest marble quarry in Europe, located at 2,200 m above sea level, embedded in the breathtaking mountain scenery of the Central Alps, amidst the Stelvio National Park. Due to the exposed alpine position, marble can only be quarried during the summer when there is no snow. Quarrying takes place in underground and over ground mining.

The Covelano white Marble can look back on a long success story. In 1856 for the first time the systematic quarrying of the white natural stone took place. The clients at that time were the monarchs of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. They used this material to create works of art that are still admired objects. From 1921 to 1959/60 the excavating activity was interrupted. After this period the company “Lasa Marmo” started working in the Covelano quarry. The quarrying works of “Lasa Marmo” continued until the expiration of the concession rights in 1999. In August 2007 the quarrying rights were handed over to the company “Covelano Marmi Srl”, which is exclusively owned by the Pohl family from Castelbello.

The Pohl family (Burkhard, Elfriede and their son Peter) is focused since the beginning on an optimal quality of the excavated material. The up to date, efficient and environmentally sound digging are emphasis of the Covelano Marmo enterprise based in Silandro (South-Tyrol – Italy). That’s why they renewed the whole machinery in 2008. However the big point was to engage a new well experienced “Capocava” (chief excavator). The first prosperities of these capital expenditures seem to confirm the new vision. The new blocks of our production which satisfy our clients, are the best demonstration that all our decisions and investments have been right!

The quarry produces about 2,000 cubic metres white marble per year:the White Covelano, the White Covelano Gold Vein, the White Covelano Emerald Vein, the White Covelano Gold and Silver Vein, the White Covelano Silver Vein and the White Venosta.

The vending of the white Covelano marble goes on year-round in the depot of Silandro. Till the end of October it’s possible to visit the quarry and to inspect the different qualities of the blocks.

Covelano white marble is a chemically almost pure, highly crystalline limestone (>95% calcite) with a sugar-grained structure. Due to its chemical advantages favouring high weather resistance, Covelano marble is one of the rare types of white marble worldwide, which can also be used for external purposes.
